3 Reasons You Shouldn't Bring Your Golf Clubs On A Golf Vacation

Posted on: 30 April 2016

If you are preparing to head to a golf resort for an upcoming vacation, the first thing that you might be thinking about packing is your set of golf clubs. However, in many cases, it is best to leave them at home and rent at the golf course instead. If you still aren't convinced, consider these three reasons to do so.

1. Save on Airfare

Depending on which airline you are flying with and how big your golf bag is, you could wind up paying considerable baggage fees for bringing your clubs with you. In many cases, the savings of leaving them home over bringing them on the airplane can actually more than pay for the club rental when you get to the resort. Plus, you don't want to have to worry about them getting lost, and you might not want to drag them through the airport when you're catching flights, either.

2. Don't Drag Yourself Down at the Resort

Even though your main reason for traveling to a golf resort for your vacation might be because you want to golf, chances are good that there will be plenty of other things at the golf resort that might catch your eye. If you are dragging your clubs with you, you may find yourself bringing them into restaurants, spas or other places when you would rather not do so, or you might have to run back and forth to your room to put them away when you want to do other things. When you're able to simply return the clubs to the rental shop at the golf course when you're ready to do other things, you won't have to worry about them weighing you down.

3. Use the Right Clubs for the Course

Depending on where you are traveling to, you might find that the course is very different from what you're playing on at home. There are even desert golf courses, sandy courses and other types. By renting when you get there, you can scope out the course and rent the right golf clubs for the course that you will be playing on. You may even have the chance to try out new types of clubs that you haven't tried before.

As you can see, it's often a better idea to leave your golf clubs at home when you are on a golf vacation. Then, you'll be able to enjoy these three perks while you're traveling. Contact a club like Meadowlands Golf Club At Sylvan Lake Edmonton for more help.
